Quick Start Guide

PromptMeGood turns one honest sentence into a structured AI prompt — for text, image, or video. No signup, no install, your work stays on your device. Here is the 60-second tour.

The three panels

The workstation has three inline panels that share one canvas — switch with the tabs at the top, no reload, no lost work.

  • Text Prompts — turn an idea into a structured prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini, or run it in-app with GPT-4.1.
  • Photography — design photo briefs for DALL·E, Midjourney, gpt-image-1, and friends. Includes the Image Workshop photo enhancer and the Reverse Engine image-to-prompt tool.
  • Video — direct AI video prompts for Sora-class models, plus the 5-shot Storyboard generator.

Tip: deep-link a panel with ?panel=text, ?panel=photography, or ?panel=video on /app.

The Clarity Coach New

Every panel now shows a small live meter under your goal field — Too vague, Getting there, or Specific enough. Next to the meter is a tiny ⓘ button that opens a Clarity Checklist. Items light up green ✓ as you cover them.

  • Text Coach: Persona · Goal · Context · Constraints.
  • Photo Coach: Subject · Lighting · Lens / Camera · Background.
  • Video Coach: Subject · Action · Camera Direction · Visual Style.

The Coach is read-only — it never changes your prompt. It just tells you what is still thin so you can decide whether to add more, or build it as-is.

Text Prompts in 30 seconds

Type one honest sentence. "Write a cold email to a SaaS director about our new analytics tool." That is enough. The Coach meter, character/token counter, and vague-word linter appear live as you type (desktop view).

Tap "✨ Build My Prompt." Auto-Tune fires automatically — it reads your sentence and pre-fills the Tune Your Prompt panel (category, skill level, tone, format, length, language, personality), then builds the prompt. The Tune panel stays collapsed unless you want to adjust a pick. Need a starter idea? Tap the small ✨ link above the textarea to open the Prompt Whisperer.

Use it. You get a structured prompt with role, context, constraints, tone, format, and next steps — plus a strength score. Tap the bright ▶ Run With AI Here button to execute it in-app with GPT-4.1, or use the smaller ChatGPT / Claude / Perplexity / Gemini handoff buttons to copy + open the destination. Tap ✨ Auto-Boost to rewrite once more for the strongest version (it may ask 1–3 quick clarifying questions first).

Backgrounded the tab? Your draft and tuning are restored automatically. Cleared by accident? A floating Restore banner brings back the last 7 days.

Target Platform New

Inside the 🎛️ Tune Your Prompt section there is a new optional Target Platform dropdown — pick LinkedIn, Email, Blog, or Ad Copy and PromptMeGood appends a short tone-and-format hint to your Extra Details so the build knows the destination surface. Pick "No platform" any time to remove it. The hint is fully visible — edit or delete it freely.

Tuning & Frameworks

Quick Modes let you shift the register of any prompt in one tap — choose from Clarity, Creative, Persuasive, Technical, and Casual. Each mode adjusts tone, structure, and language automatically without changing your core goal.

Prompt Frameworks give your output a proven skeleton. RISE (Role, Input, Steps, Expectation) works best for tasks and instructions. CARE (Context, Action, Result, Example) is built for communication and content. Step-by-Step wraps any goal in a numbered action plan. Select Auto and PromptMeGood picks the best fit for what you typed.

Both are free on every tier, every day.

Photography in 30 seconds

Switch to the Photography tab. The left side is your builder, the right side is the result.

  • Image Workshop — drop a JPG/PNG/WEBP (≤10 MB), pick from 15 enhancement chips (Upscale, Color Pop, Cinematic Grade, Remove BG, Restore, Day↔Night, Vector Style, Anime, Oil, Watercolor, B&W Film, 35mm Grain, Studio Lighting, Clean BG, HDR), and tap Enhance. Download as PNG.
  • Reverse Engine image → prompt — drop any reference image and PromptMeGood writes the prompt that would recreate it (GPT-4.1 vision), then auto-fills the Photography Suite picks (style, camera, lighting, composition, palette).
  • Guided builder — fill the four labeled fields (Subject, Environment, Action, Style) and watch the Live Preview assemble your prompt in real time as you type. Prefer freeform? Tap the ↻ link to switch to a single textarea.
  • Photo Coach New — the meter and ⓘ checklist live right under your goal. Quick-add chip Leica Look appends a single distinctive directive without disturbing what you wrote.
  • Advanced Tuning — collapsed by default. Expand to fine-tune Camera, Lighting, Color, and Pro Boosts (Quick-Start presets, Modes) with one-tap pills.
  • ✨ Generate Image — runs gpt-image-1. After the result lands, tap 🧬 DNA Card to export a 1080×1350 share card that pairs the image with its exact prompt.

Video in 30 seconds

Switch to the Video tab. Fill the guided fields (Subject, Environment, Action, Style) — or switch to freeform — and watch the Live Preview build your prompt as you type. The Video Coach New meter and clarity checklist sit right beside the goal; quick-add chips Viral and Luxury drop in a single directive without overwriting what you wrote. Optional Sora-style controls (shot type, camera movement, mood, style, duration, resolution) live inside Advanced Tuning, collapsed by default. Tap ✨ Generate Video when ready, or tap 🎞️ Generate Storyboard to turn your concept into a 5-shot cinematic sequence with rendered frames, then send the whole shot list back to the Video panel as a multi-shot prompt.

Growth Mode

Growth Mode rewires the output for business momentum — leads, conversion, retention, and revenue. Every prompt built in Growth Mode includes a monetization angle, a next-action hook, and language tuned for buyers rather than browsers. Available on Pro and above.

Free for everyone through July 1, 2026. After that, the Growth Mode drawer and the Expert Command Center both become paid features on Founding Member ($79 one-time, lifetime), Pro ($14/mo or $129/yr), and Pro Studio plans. The per-prompt Growth Mode tuning toggle (the chip in the Quick Modes row) stays free for all tiers.

There are two ways into Growth Mode and the Expert Center: the 💼 and ✦ icons in the topbar, and the new Feature Entry Row directly above the Build My Prompt button. Both routes do the same thing — pick whichever is closer to your thumb.

Tap the 💼 icon (or the Growth Mode entry-row button) to slide in the Growth Mode drawer — a marketing prompt workstation for business owners and creators. Three accordion sections, all optional:

  • Brand Voice — set your target audience and brand tone once. Saved automatically to this device, then quietly applied to anything you build through Growth Mode.
  • Social Prompt Packs — pick a coordinated pack (e.g. Local Business Pack: a Facebook post, an Instagram caption, and a Google Business update) and one offer or idea. Build Prompt assembles it for all platforms in one shot.
  • Platform Builder — focus on a single platform with a specific content type and goal.

Either builder drops the assembled prompt into the Text panel's textarea and submits it automatically — so you stay in one flow.

✦ Expert Command Center

Tap the ✦ Expert button in the topbar (any time, on any panel) to open the Expert Command Center — a five-tab side drawer for power users:

  • Diagnose — strength score, weaknesses, missing context, and one-tap fixes.
  • Architect — toggle role, audience, format, examples, and success criteria as Off / Auto / Custom.
  • Tune — voice and depth toggles plus behavior sliders.
  • Variations — generate Fast & Simple, Detailed & Strategic, and Bold & Persuasive versions side by side.
  • Save — store reusable workflows and presets.

Close it any time with Esc or the × in its header — your main builder is untouched. Nothing applies until you tap Apply.

Beta Free for everyone through July 1, 2026. After that it becomes a paid feature for Founding Member ($79 one-time, lifetime, first 500), Pro ($14/mo or $129/yr), and Pro Studio ($29/mo or $290/yr) plans. Free-tier users will see a paywall card with a link to pricing instead of the drawer; the rest of the workstation continues to work normally.

🗄️ Your Prompt Vault

Tap the 🗄️ file-cabinet icon in the topbar to slide in the Vault drawer. Everything you save — text prompts, image prompts, video prompts, DNA cards — lives here on your device, in your browser. No account required for the free tier. You can search, tag, favorite, compare two prompts side by side, export and import the whole vault as JSON, or wipe it any time. Close the drawer with Esc, the × in the header, or by tapping the dimmed area outside it.

A small Vault Stats card on the inside shows your total saved, this month's count, day-streak, and your top three tags. Dismiss it once and it stays dismissed.

Shortcuts & voice

⌘K Command Palette

Press ⌘+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows / Linux) anywhere in the workstation to open a fuzzy-search palette. Jump between panels, replay tours, open Vault, open Growth Mode, open the Expert Command Center, or run any saved prompt from the last 20 entries.

? Cheatsheet

Press ? anywhere to see the full list of keyboard shortcuts. The platform's modifier key (⌘ on Mac, Ctrl elsewhere) is detected automatically.

🎤 Voice input

Each goal textarea (Text, Photography, Video) has a 🎤 mic button beneath it on supported browsers (Chrome and other Web Speech-capable browsers). Tap to dictate; the recognized text is appended to the field. Pick from nine languages with the small selector next to the mic.

Privacy & local-first

PromptMeGood is local-first by default. Your Vault entries, brand voice, tuning picks, and theme preference live in your browser's localStorage — nothing is uploaded unless you submit a prompt to an AI feature. AI calls (Run With AI, image generation, video generation, Image Workshop, Reverse Engine, Storyboard, Auto-Boost, Auto-Tune) are sent to the AI provider over HTTPS, are not retained on PromptMeGood servers, and are never used to train models.

To start completely fresh, append ?fresh=1 to /app. To wipe everything, open the Vault and tap the wipe action — your device, your call.
